I was just doing some random blog surfing which I find myself doing quite frequently and I found a blog posting on a memorandum posted at a college about the use of the word retard and gay as an insult and it got me thinking. It really irritates me when people say things like “That’s retarded” or “Quit acting retarded”. By saying these things you are not just insulting the person you are speaking to you are insulting many others. I agree with this person – this needs to stop!
