Excellence in Worship

I was reading over at Worship Tech Online an interesting discussion on Worship Excellence.  In my opinions its quite accurately stated

For someone to walk into a church and not experience excellence only reinforces the subtle and dangerous notion that church has nothing to do with the rest of their lives. It’s just something we do on Sunday.

I agree with it so much – but there’s more in my opinion. Worship is an integral part of church.  If you have someone who can’t play guitar, who sings awfully, someone who can’t mix properly or is bad at media shout it effects peoples worship experience.  When a church is worshipping God we must give it all, or there is really no point in giving any.

I personally find it so distracting when a mix is awful or media shout is done improperly or when someone just can’t sing.  Just think – would you have someone do the teaching who has no idea what they are doing?
